NARI provides a certification process for those willing to work to a higher standard. Certified Remodelers undergo additional training, testing, background and reference checks and must renew the certification periodically. Hiring a NARI Certified Remodeler is your assurance that you are hiring an outstanding professional.
What is Design-Build?
We love this question! Design-build is a seamless approach to construction that simplifies the process to maximize your investment. We handle every aspect of your project from the engineered drawings to the final trim work. Is Foster Licensed and Insured?
Yes! Foster holds a Class A Contractors License in the State of Virginia. We do not service Maryland or DC.
Can I Trust Foster Workers in My House?
Foster is a drug free workplace and we do a thorough background test at the time of hire on all employees. We have picked what we feel are the very best personnel to join our team. Each member of our team is personally vetted to be “Foster fit” before they are at the helm of your project. How Much Will My Remodeling Project Cost?
No two projects are the same, so we hesitate to give you a cost range before we meet. We apply a formula to determine the costs of each project based on the scope, product selection, timeline and budget. When we deliver an estimate to you after our initial design meeting, we offer options within a range of price points to give you control over how much you spend and where you may splurge or trim.
Do You Work Within My Budget?
While each project we design and install is unique, we make every effort to provide you options that meet various price points. Our expert design consultants and showroom team walk you through the process and help you determine where cost issues can be addressed.
Does Foster Offer Financing?

How Long Will My Project Take?
During the planning stages, we provide a detailed timeline and schedule you can reference throughout the project. We work efficiently, but we’re also realistic when it comes to construction. We’ll keep you informed throughout the process.
Is Foster Lead Paint Certified?
Yes! We are a Lead Safe EPA Certified Firm. Foster has fulfilled requirements for Toxic Substances control Act,( TSCA) 402 and has received certification to conduct lead-based paint renovation, repair and painting activities pursuant to 40 CFR Part 745.89.
Do I need to Worry About Permits in my County?
Foster handles all of the detailed County building and trades permitting processes that are required for a safe project and county/city approval. For some projects, this includes site engineering work and assessing impacts on well and septic systems. (These costs are also included in our pricing.)
How Will I Choose Materials for My Project?
There is an enormous amount of plumbing, lighting, flooring… etc. products in the market. Our 3,500 square foot showroom has many, many material options from flooring, to countertops, cabinet hardware, to paint, to plumbing and cabinets, etc. Our design experts help guide you in material selections at our Showroom in Lorton, VA.
