Check Out How Julia Wolfgang Tackled This Alexandria Kitchen Remodel.

An Alexandria kitchen remodel can be a challenging project for any homeowner. With the median age of Alexandria homes being 46-½ years, updating these boxy dwellings can be tricky – especially when the home is a townhouse. When these busy, professional homeowners contacted Julia, they didn’t have a style or design in mind but wanted the kitchen to be a better functioning space with more storage.

There Is A Solution To Every Kitchen Remodeling Challenge.

Here’s how she made that happen:

Storage:

The original cabinetry in this dated space was small with no interior organizational features. We started by extending the cabinetry up to the ceiling for valuable storage space. We added clever organizational features like plate and cutlery dividers, and a deep pullout pantry. Since we removed two closet pantries to open up the space, we added another tall pantry cabinet next to the coffee bar. We also added functional end cabinetry to store and charge phones and tablets.

Function:

Before remodeling, this kitchen wasn’t built for two people cooking at one time. If someone was standing at the range, you couldn’t open the fridge. We moved the cooktop from one end to the other and installed a high-end vent hood that elevated and upgraded this Alexandria kitchen. We found a wall oven and microwave combination to replace the microwave that was originally over the stove. The coffee bar that sits across from the kitchen provides additional storage and allows someone to serve themselves coffee without getting in the way!
